FREE Sail-in Cinema outdoor movies return to Port of Everett

EVERETT—The Port of Everett and presenting sponsor PND Engineers are excited to announce the 9th Annual Sail-in Cinema at Waterfront Place.

The one-of-a-kind, free outdoor movie series takes place every Friday night from July 26 thru Aug. 30, offering a selection of films and fun at Boxcar Park.

Watch your pick of six movies on a 40-foot inflatable screen. Family-friendly throwbacks, fan-favorite characters, a U.S. Navy tribute and action-packed date night options make up the lineup this year.

  • Aug. 2: 8:55 p.m. – “The Boys in the Boat” (PG-13)

Know Before You Go
Boxcar Park opens one hour before showtime for moviegoers to snag their spot on the lawn, enjoy music and yard games, grab free fresh-popped popcorn and check out concessions available for purchase.

Pack in your low-back chairs and picnic blankets to the park. Don’t forget to dress in layers; it gets chilly (and often windy) on the waterfront at night.

Boaters – make a weekend out of it! You can boat into the Port of Everett Marina and moor at any of the Port’s Guest Docks. Grab dinner at one of our 12 waterfront restaurants, then head to Boxcar Park and enjoy the movie. Guest moorage is available on a first-come, first-served basis or by reservation via DockWA. Limited viewing is possible from North Guest Dock 7, but the viewing experience is best from the park.

In the event of inclement weather, a movie night may be canceled. Cancellations will be posted on the Port’s website, Facebook and Instagram platforms.
