On Thursday May 23 around 7:30 p.m. at the Walmart parking lot near 164th and I-5 in Lynnwood, deputies responded to a call of a suspicious person in an R.V. that was leaking fluid.
When deputies arrived at the R.V., inside was a middle-aged adult male sleeping. As deputies attempted to make contact, the male became violent then began recklessly driving throughout the parking lot.
According to Courtney O’Keefe, spokeswoman with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s office, after the vehicle drove over curbs, a deputy attempted to stop the R.V. but it rammed into the patrol car. The deputy then used his patrol car to pin the R.V. for the safety of motorist and bystanders in the parking lot.
There were no injuries to the deputy but there were minor cuts on the suspect’s face. The suspect was transported to Providence Hospital in Everett. The Snohomish County Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
