Due to the coronavirus epidemic, and the recently declared national emergency by the federal government, we are canceling all activities at Rosehill Community Center including recreation classes, drop-ins, and rentals of all kinds from Monday March 16th – April 24th. This decision was not arrived at lightly or without compassion for the activities and rental you’ve been anticipating.
We apologize for the significant inconvenience this will cause. All fees, including deposits, will be fully refunded. Rentals may be rescheduled for later this year depending on availability. If you have any questions you can call 425-263-8180 or email recreation@mukilteowa.gov.
Shutting down facilities and canceling events have been shown to disrupt transmission of disease and flatten the curve of infection rates. It is one of the most effective tools to ease the expected burden on our health system. We have been told by our medical experts that we should expect to see infection rates increase for the next few weeks and then we should see some positive impacts from these social distancing measures. It won’t stop COVID-19, but it will ease the impacts on our health care system and give us time to adapt.
