By Officer Myron Travis, Crime Prevention Officer | Press Release

(MUKILTEO, WA) The Mukilteo Police Department will host its first virtual “Coffee with a Cop” event on Thursday, May 21, 2020, from 10:00A.M. to 11:00A.M. The public can join in on the department’s Facebook page at Mukilteo Police Department.

Police Chief Cheol Kang, Assistant Police Chief Glen Koen, Community Services Sergeant Colt Davis, and Crime Prevention Officer Myron Travis will be on “Facebook Live” to engage with community members and answer questions in this virtual setting.

Residents can visit the department’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mukilteopolicedepartment and post questions while having donuts and coffee in their homes. It is requested that residents email preliminary questions to mtravis@mukilteowa.gov to ensure questions are answered during the livestream.

“Community engagement is one of the most important aspects of our responsibilities to the community we serve. This is one of many ways we continue to be innovative and creative to maintain our relationship with the community during this time”, said Police Chief Cheol Kang.

“Coffee with a Cop” is supported by The United States Department of Justice and The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.
