Lynnwood man dies in mobile home fire

Lynnwood, Wash., Oct. 7, 2020 — A man died in a mobile home fire in Lynnwood last night.

Two other residents – a man and a woman – safely escaped. They went to a neighbor’s house to call 911 to report the fire in the 3800 block of 164th Street SW. South County Fire crews were dispatched at 11:20 p.m. The mobile home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. They had the fire under control within 20 minutes and kept the flames from spreading to neighboring mobile homes. No firefighters were injured.

The mobile home is a total loss. Red Cross responded to assist the residents displaced by the fire.

There’s no word yet on how the fire started. Fire investigators plan to return to the scene in the morning to continue their work in the daylight.

No further information about the fire victim is available at this time.
