Larsen statement on historic Biden-Harris win

By Office of Representative Rick Larsen | Press Release

EVERETT, Wash. — Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the following statement after Joe Biden was declared the winner of the presidential race.

“I congratulate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for winning this battle for the soul of America. This is a historic victory and I applaud voters for making their voices heard in record numbers. Now, we must come together to rebuild our country and restore American democracy.

I will continue to call on the Biden-Harris administration to protect the Salish Sea and Puget Sound, fight for aviation and aerospace jobs, invest in an infrastructure-led recovery, expand health care access, fight climate change and safeguard voting rights.

I am also encouraged by the support local candidates have received across the 2nd District, including in some of the most contested races: Helen Price Johnson, Dave Paul, Alicia Rule and Sharon Shewmake. Over the coming days, Washington state is on track to reach record-breaking turnout.”
