LYNNWOOD, Wash., January 27, 2021 – Snohomish County Deputies yesterday apprehended the suspect who kidnapped a 24-year old Lynnwood woman and threatened others with a gun.
Around 10:15 p.m. Monday, January 25, Snohomish County deputies responded to the 3400 block of 200th Place SW in Lynnwood for a report of a kidnapping.
The victim: A 24-year-old female, was standing outside in front of her residence when a known individual approached the victim, attacked her and chased her.
The suspect: A 22-year-old Lake Stevens man, drug the victim to his vehicle and forced her inside. The suspect held the victim at gunpoint and assaulted her several times as he drove away. Shortly after, the suspect returned to the victim’s residence, dropped her off and fled from the scene.
Deputies arrived on scene and immediately located the victim. She was transported by aid to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies searched the area for the suspect and obtained information that he was barricaded inside a residence in the 13000 block of 12th Place W. in Everett.
Inside the home, two additional victims who were unknown to the suspect were threatened with a gun. Deputies and Everett PD officers surrounded the residence, developed a plan and entered the home.
Deputies were able to escort the two victims out of the residence safely and took the 22-year-old suspect into custody.
The 22-year-old Lake Stevens man was transported to Snohomish County Jail and booked yesterday for: first-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, and two counts of unlawful imprisonment.
The suspect is currently in the Snohomish County Jail.
