Community Transit board meeting, January 6

Snohomish County, Wash. – The Community Transit Board of Directors’ monthly board meeting will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, January 6.

Community Transit staff will announce the Van GO program award recipients. The program awards surplus passenger vans to local nonprofit organizations to improve transportation in the community. In the past, nonprofits have used the vans to help serve people experiencing homelessness and others in need of a ride.

The regular meeting will take place as a virtual meeting due to ongoing COVID-19 precautions. Meeting materials, information on how to watch or listen to the meeting, go to bit.ly/CTBdMtgJan2022.

The board holds regular meetings on the first Thursday of each month.

Community Transit is responsible for providing bus and paratransit service, vanpool and alternative commute options in Snohomish County. The agency is building a network of Swiftbus rapid transit lines with Swift Blue Line along Highway 99, the Swift Green Line between Canyon Park/Bothell and Boeing/Paine Field, and the Swift Orange Line coming to Mill Creek and Lynnwood in 2024.
