Party in the Parks at Mill Creek Sports Park

MILL CREEK, Wash., August 10, 2022 – The last day to experience Mill Creek’s summer event Party in the Parks will be Thursday, August 25, at the Mill Creek Sports Park for an end of summer spectacular.

From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. community members are invited to get outside and enjoy the gorgeous athletic park situated among the evergreens off Bothell-Everett Highway. Engage in the numerous booths from Town and Country Market, Everett Public Schools, Kiwanis of Mill Creek, and the Mill Creek Police Department among others.

Come get a balloon animal from Tiny Art Face Painting, cookie dough from a Sugar and Spoon pop-up, or a meatball hero from Wiseguys Italian Street Food while participating in the list of activities taking advantage of the 64,000 square foot turfed field. Activities include bubble soccer by Mill Creek YMCA, various field games by Skyhawks Sports Camp, while Chris Jones from State Farm Insurance emcees.

To top off the evening, Pops Skateboard Shop will be hosting a skateboarding exhibition, Board Bash 9, in the 10,000-sqft lighted concrete skatepark beside the field with prizes and more. And don’t forget to sign up for the Run with Heart 5k at the Columbia Athletic Club booth taking place on October 1.

For those looking for an additional excuse to visit the park, rumor has it there may even be a geocache hidden somewhere inside. For hints and more information visit https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9KAD3

Mill Creek Sports Park will be the third and final featured park of the City’s summer-long Park in the Parks which began June 30 at Highlands Park and continued at Heron Park on July 28.

Back by popular demand after a two-year hiatus, the Party in the Parks series aims to provide family-friendly fun, allowing everyone to get out of the house and get to know their community again.

“We are all excited to bring back Party in the Parks,” said Communications & Marketing Coordinator Jody Hawkins. “After hearing from many in the community, our City Council made it clear that they fully support the return of these and other popular community events.”

Mill Creek Sports Park is located at 13903 North Creek Dr. Parking is limited so the City encourages walking, biking, or carpooling.
