Record-setting Scholarships awarded for 2022-23 academic year

Everett, WA – August 27, 2022Trinity Education Foundation is pleased to announce a record 27 new scholarships valued at over $700,000 have been awarded for the 2022-2023 academic year. This represents a 125% increase over new awards given in the 2021-2022 school year.

“We are excited about the substantial increase in the number of scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year,” says Jenny Lockwald-Stewart, executive director of the Foundation. “We are committed to increasing the number of scholars we serve year-over-year and creating success for awardees that goes beyond graduation. We want to ensure our scholars have the best opportunities in their chosen profession, including significantly reducing the debt associated with obtaining a degree.”

The 27 new scholarships categories

12 TRINITY SCHOLARS PROGRAM (TSP) SCHOLARSHIPS: Our premiere program for undergraduates, the TSP, incorporates a holistic approach built around the specific needs of the scholar. The program includes a vocational assessment through PathwayU, full-time coaching/mentoring, and yearly financial assistance. Scholarship awardees receive $10,000 per year for up to four years or a maximum of $40,000 (based on enrollment status at the time of award).

10 SEMINARY SCHOLARSHIPS: This scholarship provides financial support to scholars seeking a master of Divinity at Association of Theological Schools (ATS) accredited Christian seminaries throughout the United States. Scholarship awardees receive $5,000 per year for up to three years or a maximum of $15,000 (based on enrollment status at the time of award).

2 DAVE ELLINGSON SCHOLARSHIPS for ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES: The Dave Ellingson Scholarship for Environmental Studies is for those pursuing an undergraduate degree in an area of study focused on the environment and creation care. Awardees receive $5,000 per year for up to four years or a maximum of $20,000 (based on enrollment status at the time of award). Scholars also receive one-on-one mentoring with Dave Ellingson and are encouraged to volunteer at Holden Village located in the Cascade mountains.

3 ORGANIZATIONAL GRADUATE LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS: Premiering this academic year, this new scholarship assists graduate students with the high cost of post-graduate degrees in the area of leadership. Majors include the traditional MBA, Organizational Leadership, Ministry Leadership, Accountancy, Education, Data Analytics, Nursing Leadership, and Information Technology, to name a few. Awardees receive $5,000 per year for up to two years or a maximum of $10,000 (based on enrollment status at the time of award). Eligible applicants must be pursuing a degree within the Business and/or Leadership department of the university. Applications for the 2023-2024 year will be accepted from December 1, 2022, to March 1, 2023.
