Department of Natural Resources calling students for art contest 

The Washington State Department of Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is now accepting applications for this year’s Youth Art Contest with the theme of “Environmental Justice League.” Young people in grades K-12 are welcome to submit an art project, using any art medium, that depicts representations of environmental justice.

Artists will be divided by grade into four categories: K-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and grades 9-12.  Prizes will be awarded in each category: 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Select artwork will be displayed digitally at the Natural Resources Building (NRB).

Artwork must be submitted by 9 p.m. April 18th, 2023Review the complete 2023 DNR art contest rules here. Voting begins at 11 a.m. on April 19th and ends at 5 p.m. on April 26th. Winners will be announced on April 27. Select artwork will be displayed digitally at the Natural Resources Building (NRB).
