Deceased male found in garage of Mill Creek house fire

MILL CREEK, Wash., March 22, 2023South County Fire discovered the remains of a deceased male inside a garage in a house fire this morning at 11:26 a.m. in the 15300 block of 25th Drive SE in Mill Creek.

Smoke and flames were coming from the garage of the two-story house when the first firefighters arrived. Crews had the fire under control within 10 minutes and kept the flames contained to the garage.

Once the fire was out, a deceased male was found inside the garage. The identification of the victim and cause of death will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office.

No one else was at the home at the time of the fire. No firefighters were injured.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is part of an active and ongoing joint investigation by South County Fire and the Mill Creek Police Department.
