Investigation underway in shooting death of Arlington man

ARLINGTON, Wash., August 10, 2023—On Saturday, August 5, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to the 17900 block of 121st St NE in Arlington around 10:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, a 48-year-old man, deceased with a single gunshot wound.

During the investigation, Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives learned the suspect, a 32-year-old man, drove to the home and confronted residents. A verbal altercation occurred outside the residence between the 32-year-old suspect and the 48-year-old victim before the suspect fired one round, striking the victim.

The 32-year-old Arlington man was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for second-degree murder.

This is an active investigation.
