Mill Creek apartment fire leaves one injured, three displaced

MILL CREEK, December 16, 2023—South County Fire reports that one man was injured in an apartment fire early Saturday morning in Mill Creek.

The fire was reported just before 2:15 a.m. on December 16 at the Ardent Apartments in the 1100 block of Mill Creek Blvd. Witnesses report flames shooting up the side of the two-story building with an injured man outside when the first South County Fire crew arrived.

The man was taken by medic unit to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other reports of injured persons; however, Support 7 and Red Cross are assisting at least three displaced residents.

South County Fire received assistance from Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue and had the fire under control within 30 minutes.

A total of four apartment units were damaged in the fire and the cause is still under investigation.
