LAKE STEVENS—Joshua Mathew Kelly, 22, was arrested for second degree murder of an adult male he allegedly shot on New Year Eve in Lake Stevens Manor Apartments located at 12703 16th Street NE in Lake Stevens.
At approximately 3:35 a.m. on December 31, 2023, Lake Stevens police responded to a report of a shooting in an apartment where one adult male had been shot. Upon arrival, life saving measures were attempted and the person was later pronounced deceased on scene by fire department rescue personnel.
Two adults were interviewed by detectives. During the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest, Joshua Mathew Kelly, a 22-year-old male for Murder 2, a Class A Felony.
Kelly was booked into the Snohomish County Jail and is awaiting a hearing scheduled for January 2.
