EDMONDS—Edmonds police are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that took place near the intersection of 236 Street Southwest and Edmonds Way. This is the second shooting of the year in Snohomish County.
The suspect was last seen eastbound on 236 Street travelling on foot, according to law enforcement, and is described as a White or Hispanic male in his teens to early 20s with curly dark hair, wearing a hoody and all black clothing.
Edmonds police report that the victim, a 31-year-old male from SeaTac, has died and now updated its investigation to a homicide case.
The incident occurred around midnight on January 4. Initial reports from multiple witnesses is that the suspect was on foot and fired multiple times at a vehicle, striking the driver.
Edmonds Detectives recommend calling local police or email policetips@edmondswa.gov to report suspicious activity or if you have any information leading to an arrest. Do not approach the suspect as he is armed.
