LYNNWOOD—Lynnwood Police are looking for two Black males who opened fire at a vehicle narrowly missing the driver in an apparent armed carjacking attempt.
At approximately 1 a.m., January 12, Lynnwood Police responded to an assault in the 7500 block of 196th (near QFC Parking lot). When they arrived, they learned that two males attempted to open the driver’s side door of a parked car in the parking lot. A male was sitting this vehicle at the time of the attempted entry.
When the driver did not open his door, the two males pointed two handguns at the victim. As the victim drove out of the parking lot, the subjects shot at the vehicle, striking it multiple times narrowly missing the driver. The driver was not injured, but his vehicle was struck twice.
The victim described the shooters as two black males who approached him in a 2015-2019 gray Honda Civic.
Lynnwood Police are asking resident to remain vigilant, observe your surroundings, and call 911 to report suspicious activity.
