LYNNWOOD—During the weekend of January 13-14, several pipes froze and burst at Meadowdale Elementary School resulting in significant water damage. The district is in the process of temporarily transitioning to Woodway Center in Edmonds for in-person learning beginning January 30.

There will be no school for Meadowdale Elementary on Friday, January 19 to facilitate parents picking up Chromebooks and materials for their child in preparation for temporary remote learning. Beginning Monday, January 22, all students will remote learn until Thursday, January 25. There will be no school for Meadowdale Elementary students on Monday, January 29.
Students are to report to Woodway Center in Edmonds on Tuesday, January 30 to resume in-person learning until repairs are complete at Meadowdale Elementary.

Friday, January 19, 2024: No school for Meadowdale Elementary students/Materials pick up day for families
Families are asked to come to Meadowdale Elementary to pick up their student’s Chromebook and other instructional materials during the following times:
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- 3 to 6 p.m.
Please park in the parking lot and enter the commons to gather your student’s items.
If you are unable to pick up materials during these times, please call the school office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 425-431-7754 or leave a voice message.

Free 5-day breakfast and lunch meal kits to bring home will also be available for all families during the materials pick up times.
Monday, January 22, through Thursday, January 25: Remote learning for students
Remote learning will take place on these four days. We will send out information with Zoom links for your student’s teacher and we will resend the remote learning day schedule.
Friday, January 26: No school for Meadowdale Elementary students
We need this day for staff to move in to Woodway Center and prep classrooms for students
Monday, January 29: No school for all Edmonds School District students
This is a district-wide scheduled non-student day for professional development that was scheduled before the beginning of the school year.
Tuesday, January 30: Woodway Center opens for all Meadowdale Elementary students
Woodway Center will open for all Meadowdale Elementary School students for in-person learning on Tuesday, January 30. Our school start and end times will remain the same.
- Start Time: 8:50 a.m.
- End Time Mondays – Thursdays: 3:20 p.m.
- End Time Fridays: 2:05 p.m.
Transportation for students to Woodway Center
We will be sending out a form for our walkers and other families who do not currently have a bus route to Meadowdale Elementary. Those students have the option to take a school bus from Meadowdale Elementary to Woodway Center.
For students who regularly take the school bus, they will continue to be picked up at their regular stop. However, the times will change. We will provide information on the new times as we get closer to opening at Woodway Center. In the meantime, families should make sure they have the Edulog app on their mobile device. Learn more about the Edulog app on our website.

Thank you again for your patience. At this point, we do not know how long we will need to stay at Woodway Center. As soon as we have an update, we will let staff and families know. Our main focus is getting students back to in-person learning as soon as possible.
