Mukilteo PD arrests subject for multiple counts of vehicle thefts

MUKILTEO—At approximately 2:20 p.m., January 18, Mukilteo Police Officers located a stolen vehicle and arrested a suspect after a brief foot pursuit in the 10800 BLK Harbour Pointe Boulevard. Another subject was detained and eventually released.

A vehicle, reported stolen out of Lynnwood, was located by Officers in the 10800 BLK of Harbour Pointe Boulevard. As Officers approached the occupied vehicle, the subjects exited and fled.

Officers were able to immediately and safely detain one subject at the scene while another continued on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, officers were able to arrest the fleeing subject. Witnesses reported seeing the subject drop a weapon on the ground during the pursuit. The weapon was recovered by Officers at the scene.

The arrested subject was also under investigation for Assault 2 and Possession of Stolen Vehicle and was also booked for those charges.

This remains an active investigation and additional charges may be referred on the suspects.
