Firefighters transport man to hospital as fire destroys mobile home

EVERETT—Firefighters transported one man to the hospital as they fought a fire that destroyed an Everett mobile home Thursday, January 25, 2024.

Firefighters were dispatched to the property in the 2000 block of Center Road just after 1:30 p.m. and arrived to find heavy fire conditions throughout the home. Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to other mobile homes, trees and power lines.

A man who lived in the home escaped, but firefighters transported him to the hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation. The man, believed to be in his 60s, did not have life-threatening injuries. Firefighters evaluated another person for smoke inhalation at the scene.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The home is a total loss.

South County Fire reminds all residents to have working smoke alarms. Test smoke alarms each month. Replace all smoke alarms in your home every 10 years. Smoke alarms should be installed in every sleeping room, outside each separate sleeping area and on every level of your home.
