OLYMPIA—Washington State Governor Jay Inslee unexpectedly lost his brother, Frank Inslee, Jr., the night of Tuesday, January 23.
“We lost a great father, grandfather, teacher and a greater brother, Frank Inslee, unexpectantly last night. His former students tell me they loved him across the state. He loved Carla and his whole clan,” the Governor took to X (formerly Twitter) to share. “I’m still racing our toy hydroplanes, his Bardahl, my Thriftway, in my heart this afternoon. Godspeed, Little Brother.”
Inslee, Jr., attended Gov. Inslee’s announcement to run for presidency in 2020, along with their brother Todd Inslee. He had a wife named Carla.
Frank Inslee, Jr., was named after his father, Frank, who passed away in October 2014, due to illness at the age of 88. He was a World War II Navy veteran, biology teacher, high-school coach, counselor and the Seattle Public Schools athletic director.
Residents took to twitter to share their condolences to the First Family.
