LYNNWOOD—Lynnwood Police are seeing the publics assistance in a kidnapping that occurred at South Neighborhood Park on January 31.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Lynnwood police responded to the South Neighborhood Park area for reports of a kidnapping. Upon arrival, detectives learned that a 15-year-old and 12-year-old were in the South Neighborhood Park area when they were approached by a group of juveniles in a vehicle.
The juveniles in the car demanded the 12-year-old get into the car with them. The 12-year-old was struck several times inside the vehicle, sustained minor injuries and was later released in the Scriber Lake Park area.
Detectives believe this is an isolated incident and it appears that some involved are known to each other. It is unknown if it were gang related.
The Lynnwood police are asking those with any information about the incident to contact Detective Sattarov at 425-670-5633. There is no further information available at this time.
