Woman dies after fatal crash in Snohomish

CITY OF SNOHOMISH—Around 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) detectives responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash in the 13900 block of Old Tester Road. When fire personnel and deputies arrived, they located the victim, a 45-year-old woman, deceased at the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicle.

During the investigation, detectives discovered the vehicle was traveling on the roadway and for unknown reasons veered off the left-hand side of the road and struck a utility pole, causing the vehicle to roll and land upside down in ditch with standing water. The 45-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

CIU detectives are still working to determine the cause of the crash

Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
