NWWS members from 32 states and 10 different countries submitted watermedia art.

“Congratulations to everyone who entered,” Goldstein-Warren said. “It is an act of bravery in the artworld.” For those who weren’t accepted this year, she encouraged artists to “keep painting and keep entering. That’s how we grow as artists.”

Goldstein-Warren added that she does her best to have an inclusive show of all subjects and techniques of watercolor.

On hand for the Awards Reception will be exhibition chair, David Orrin Smith who also congratulated everyone who entered and thanked the members “for continuing to reinforce NWWS by participating in the membership show. Laurie, our juror, has selected 75 excellent paintings. Not an easy job because of all the fine art we received. This watermedia exhibition will have something for everyone’s visual pleasure.”

At the Awards Reception, Laurie Goldstein-Warren will award cash prizes of $1,000 to first place, $750 for second and $500 for third. Thirteen other awards will also be given along with everyone’s first viewing of the exhibition.

NWWS offers two online Waterworks workshops: Goldstein-Warren’s workshop ‘Dynamic Pouring’ April 22-23, 2024 and Sarah B. Hansen’s ‘Energetic Acrylics’ April 24-25, 2024.

All artists are welcome to learn from either or both of these fine artists and space is still available. Register at www.nwws.org/nwws-workshops/. Members, by the way, receive a discount.
