MUKILTEO—The City of Mukilteo is organizing its annual citywide curbside cleanup event in partnership with Waste Management. Scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2024, this event is open to regular residential customers with cart service or cart-based service.
Accepted items for pickup include up to 1 yard of materials (approximately 5 bags) weighing no more than a total of 65 pounds, along with two (2) larger items such as mattresses, sofas, large chairs, and lawnmowers (without gas or oil residues). All items must be securely bundled, boxed, or bagged and placed at the curbside by 6:00 am on Saturday morning, May 18th. Larger items should be positioned on a public street for easy pickup by large trucks. To ensure timely collection, it’s recommended to set items out the night before.
Please note that certain items will not be accepted, including paints, solvents, pesticides, gasoline, cleaning materials, tires, rocks, concrete, construction debris, sod, yard waste, TVs, computers, phones, or electronics. Any such items left out for pickup will be left at the curbside.
“We hope you take advantage of this opportunity to do some spring cleaning and keep Mukilteo looking beautiful,” says Mukilteo Mayor Joe Marine.
