Granite Falls woman shoots partner in domestic dispute

GRANITE FALLS—A 43-year-old Granite Falls man is expected to survive a bullet to the chest after allegedly being shot by his 46-year-old female partner during an argument.

Around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies were dispatched to the 35000 block of the Mountain Loop HWY for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, a 43-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported by aid to Providence Reginal Medical Center. The status of his injuries are unknown at this time.   

During the initial investigation, a 46-year-old Granite Falls woman, that lives with the victim, was taken into custody for Assault First Degree Domestic Violence. 

There is currently no danger to the public as the scene was quickly contained by Deputies and all involved have been accounted for. The investigation is currently ongoing.
