EVERETT—The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) District 1, Department of Washington invites you to attend the inaugural District 1 Warbirds & Whiskey Gala, benefiting veterans across Snohomish County.
This brand-new event takes place Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the iconic Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum in Everett, Washington. Warbirds & Whiskey is a formal WWII victory-themed gala, and includes an exclusive VIP pre-gala cocktail hour, dinner, drinks, Big Band-style music, plus a live and silent auction.
Admission starts at $160 ($145 for veterans) for an individual dinner, or $300 for access to the VIP pre-gala cocktail hour plus admission to the dinner auction. If you’d like to surround yourself with friends, family, and/or colleagues, table sponsorships start at $1,300 for a table of eight.
All proceeds benefit VFW District 1, Department of Washington, which informs, guides, coordinates, and supports the efforts of the nine individual VFW posts working throughout Snohomish County.
Warbirds & Whiskey was created by District 1 Commander Terry D. Stinson, who served as the commander of the Ward Roney Jr. VFW Post 7511 for three years prior to his move to the commander position at VFW District 1, Department of Washington. In alignment with Stinson’s broadened role within the VFW organization, Warbirds & Whiskey seeks to generate unwavering support for the combat veterans of Snohomish County while boosting overall awareness of VFW District 1’s important work.
“Events like Warbirds & Whiskey do more than just support the veterans who call Snohomish County their home,” Commander Stinson said. “They also send a clear, resounding message to veterans currently serving and those considering service, that their selfless sacrifices on behalf of our country are appreciated, valued, and cherished.”
