Her dedication to criminal justice reform, economic empowerment, healthcare access, and civil rights aligns with the values and priorities of our caucus and the constituents we serve.”

Vice President Harris’s history-making candidacy as the first woman of Jamaican and South Asian descent to serve as Vice President has already inspired millions across the country, particularly young Black girls who see themselves reflected in her achievements. Her policy initiatives, such as advocating for comprehensive police reform, addressing racial disparities in healthcare, and promoting economic opportunities for marginalized communities, resonate deeply with the mission of the Washington State Legislative Black Caucus.
