    1. Hello April as of right now, 5:30 p.m., SWAT are still negotiating with the suspect who is still barricaded inside the motel. The Motel and parking lot are still closed to the public.

  1. This all happened while I was at work miles awayv with no car.
No one will answer at the front desk. Motel 6 customer service says it’s the responsibility of the property manager, but again, no one will answer the phone.
My son is outside with our cat and has been all day. His phone died, and I have no idea where he is. The last thing he told me is they’re arresting anyone who tries to go into the motel.
I expected motel 6 to step up and address accomodations… Not only are they in an area where they should have contingency plans, they’ve had actual standoffs before at this location.
I fully thought customer service would have a plan for evacuees, but nope, they couldn’t have cared less.
Obviously the child is the most important things, but there are now other lives at stake. My son has type one diabetes and is insulin dependent. All our food, drinks, medication, cat food, cat litter… All in the room. I left no family, no car. That room costs will over $2k a month, and it’s on skid row.
My story isn’t unique, it’s everyone at motel 6 quite frankly, although I’m employed and not on drugs.

    1. That’s completely unfair to say that it’s Motel 6 is responsibility. Law-enforcement took over the Motel and the hotel. Staff had absolutely no say in the matter. There was a standby bus for those who are staying at the Motel while negotiations were going on community transit provided a bus for those staying at the Motel had to wait out the ordeal. I’m sorry that you didn’t take advantage of that, say it’s Motel’s fault you have to blame the Snohomish County sheriffs department. They’re the ones who took the Motel over and the hotel staff had absolutely nothing that could be done until negotiations were done.

  2. I have heard numerous times about the woman and her abuser. Hes abused her at a friends house i know. Where both man and woman plus 3 kids stayed often. He had been in jail currently on something, i dont know. While they still gathered money to bail him out, as he abused her again afterward. He needs to go to jail without bail. Someone needs to talk with her about her and her children, before so eone truly gets hurt. These kids are seeing there mother be abused. She cant seem to walk sway from him. There is a big problem here.

    1. Hi Kathy, all though I don’t live there, I am a victim of dv for many years, and if it hadn’t been for some loving people that knew my situation, doing an intervention, and helped me with resources, such as a safe house for dv victims, getting a no contact restraining order, and getting me in touch with safe housing, I wouldn’t have made it out alive. I’m very grateful for the people that helped me. Her and her baby’s need to be safe. She needs to be reassured that she can make it WITHOUT him.

    2. Not sure why the kids have not been removed from the situation. Not that foster care can be any better but……

  3. I just went by there about half hour ago and there are still not letting anyone through and cops still out there let’s see how long this lasts
