The Pittsburgh Steelers have been the most profitable team to bet on over the past two seasons, with the Seattle Seahawks rounding up the Top 5.
Research by gaming experts at Gamdom analyzed the moneyline odds (moneyline refers to odds on the straight-up outcome of a game with no consideration to a point spread) for every NFL team for every game week in a regular season over the past two seasons (34 games total). They then calculated how much money would have been won (or lost) each week based on a $100 bet on each team.

5 | Seattle Seahawks | $2,077.58 | $277.58 |
6 | Jacksonville Jaguars | $2,064.62 | $264.62 |
7 | Baltimore Ravens | $2,552.66 | $252.66 |

9 | New York Giants | $1,803.08 | $203.08 |
10 | Kansas City Chiefs | $2,644.56 | $144.56 |
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been the most profitable team to bet on over the past two seasons. With 21 wins out of a possible 34 the return on betting $100 on them every game week for the past two seasons would have been $878.36.
The second most profitable team was the Cincinnati Bengals, with a gross total of $2,765.37. The total profit is $565.37 after removing the stake from winning bets. The Bengals have won 22 of the 34 matches in the past two seasons.
The Detroit Lions have been the third most profitable team over the past two seasons. With a total profit of $448.93 from a $100 bet on every one of the 34 games played. Of the 34 games, the Detroit Lions have had 21 wins.
The fourth-most profitable NFL team has been the 2023/24 Super Bowl runners-up, the San Francisco 49ers. Betting $100 on the 49ers every week would have made punters $289.43, although they have had the most wins over the 34 games analyzed (26 wins). Because they are often favorites, their payouts are lower. The gross total, including stakes, is the largest of any team, $2,889.43.
The Seattle Seahawks are the fifth-most profitable NFL team to bet on. With 18 wins in 34 games, a $100 bet on every game would have returned $277.58 profit, or $2,077.58 with the initial stake returned as well.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been the sixth most profitable NFL team to bet on over the past two seasons with a total profit of $264.62 from 18 wins out of 34 games.
The Baltimore Ravens have been the seventh most profitable team over the past two seasons, with a total profit of $252.66 from a gross of $2,552.66. Out of 34 games over both seasons, the Ravens have won 23 games.
The eighth most profitable team is the Dallas Cowboys. Over 34 games, the Cowboys won 24 games, with the profit being $240.37 over the two seasons. The profit, including the initial stake, gives a total of $2,640.37.
The New York Giants rank ninth with a total profit of $203.08 from the 16 games won out of the 34 played.
The tenth most profitable NFL team are the 23/24 Super Bowl winners Kansas City Chiefs. Out of the 34 games, the Chiefs have won 25. Once again, due to the team being favorites, profits are smaller at only $144.56, although gross winnings with the stake included is one of the highest at $2,644.56.
Felix Römer, founder of Gamdom commented: “Betting on the NFL isn’t just about winning money—it’s about the sense of involvement it brings. Each bet turns an ordinary Sunday into an edge-of-your-seat experience, where you hang on every pass, every run, and every referee’s call.
“It’s a way to test your football knowledge, your gut instinct, and sometimes, just plain luck. Some bettors analyze stats, weather conditions, and player injuries, looking for that slight edge. Others go with their hearts, backing their favorite team regardless of the odds.”
