LYNNWOOD—Snohomish County Public Works is advising residents that Larch Way/Logan Road and Locust Way intersection will be closed from Friday, September 27, and is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Monday, September 30. The detour route will be the same as what was used over the summer.Â
Construction on the intersection is coming to an end and drivers should continue to expect single-lane closures and delays until construction activities are complete in October. The parking lot at Logan Park will remain closed until the project is finished in October.
The intersection of Larch Way/Logan Road and Locust Way is a critical passageway north/south and east/west in eastern South County. It was previously controlled by a four-way stop and regularly experienced congestion.
The intersection improvements were designed to:
- improve traffic flow
- increase mobility for pedestrians and cyclist
Funding for the project came from the Transportation Improvement Board and the Snohomish County Road Fund.
The public is invited to a Roundabout Ribbon Cutting ceremony 10 to 11 a.m., October 12, 2024, at Logan Park located at 1411 Logan Rd, Lynnwood.
