MARYSVILLE—In a letter to district staff, families, and community members on Monday, December 2, Dr. Burgess, interim superintendent, announced the OSPI and the ESD placement of Dr. Sue Ann Bube, special consultant.
Below is the letter in its entirety:
“Dear Marysville School District Staff, Families, and Community Members,
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Sue Ann Bube, an experienced and highly regarded consultant provided through the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and Educational Service District 189, will collaborate with our staff to support our district’s improvement efforts.
Dr. Bube will play a key role in helping the district achieve compliance with state and federal requirements, particularly in the area of specially designed instruction for students with disabilities. She will also assist with organizational and operational enhancements to ensure our systems support sustainable and high-quality service delivery for all students.
In her capacity as a consultant, Dr. Bube has been granted the authority to act on the district’s behalf in specific areas, including:
- Negotiating agency contracts and legal matters,
- Collaborating with Human Resources and union representatives on staffing and related matters,
- Assisting with financial projections and budget planning.
Additionally, Dr. Bube will provide guidance and oversight to the Central Office Special Services Department, ensuring the work continues seamlessly until an Executive Director is hired.
We are confident that her expertise and leadership will positively impact the district and appreciate your support and collaboration as we work together on these important initiatives.
