Hometown Holidays Carousel and Ferris Wheel return to Arlington

ARLINGTON-The Hometown Holidays carousel and Ferris wheel will be in Arlington from Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 15. This is made possible by the City of Arlington Hotel-Motel Tax Fund Tourism Grant and a generous sponsorship from Angel of the Winds Casino Resort.

“We are thrilled to support the City of Arlington in bringing the community together for the holidays,” said Travis O’Neil – CEO at Angel of the Winds Casino. “Christmas is a time for celebration, and we believe in creating experiences that enhance the lives of those in our community. This donation reflects our commitment to providing entertainment and being an active and engaged member of Arlington. We hope our contribution will help make this event memorable for families and individuals of all ages, fostering connections and spreading joy during the holidays.”

Mayor Don Vanney expressed his gratitude for the sponsorship, “I am very pleased to have the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians’ Angel of the Winds Casino as a partner with initiatives that are important to our community. The free amusement rides are definitely a well-loved attraction.”

Representatives from Angels of the Wind Casino Resort will be at the Hometown Holiday event on December 7 to engage with the community.

Amazon Sponsors Holiday Lights Installation

The City of Arlington is proud to announce that Amazon has generously provided sponsorship for the holiday lights in Legion Park for the upcoming Hometown Holidays celebration. This sponsorship will help cover the cost of the lights and installation, making for a beautiful display of lights for the community and visitors to enjoy during this festive season.

The management at the Arlington Amazon Fulfillment Center has stepped up to support Hometown Holidays with the sponsorship. “At Amazon, we look to leverage our scale for good to help strengthen local communities. That means combining our strengths with those of community partners, working together to find creative solutions that have a lasting impact. Thank you to the City of Arlington for your partnership,” said Taylor Hoang, Head of Community Engagement for Amazon- Seattle.

The City of Arlington is grateful for this partnership with Amazon and their commitment to giving back to the community. Mayor Don Vanney expressed his appreciation by stating, “Amazon has been a valuable partner for the City of Arlington, and their contribution towards our Hometown Holidays is greatly appreciated. We look forward to collaborating with them on future initiatives.”

The holiday lights in Legion Park have become a cherished tradition in Arlington’s Hometown Holidays celebration. The holiday lights will be on display through December.
