LYNNWOOD—The Lynnwood Rotary Club is proud to recognize Charlie Li, a senior at Mountlake Terrace High School, as the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month for December 2024.
Nominated by STEM Instructor Jami Wollan, Charlie is an accomplished student who will graduate from Mountlake Terrace High School this year with a STEM honors diploma in two pathways: biotechnology and computer science. A dedicated member of HOSA (Future Health Professionals), Charlie has
achieved remarkable success, winning state and international awards in biotechnology and clinical laboratory science.
Charlie’s exceptional contributions to HOSA include developing comprehensive competitive event resources and organizing competitors with mentors, showcasing his leadership and organizational talents. Over the years, Charlie has demonstrated tremendous growth as a leader, earning the respect of his peers and making a lasting impact on the club. His passion for science and commitment to excellence extend beyond the classroom, and his teacher and HOSA advisor recognizes him as a future leader in research and innovation. Charlie’s achievements and potential highlight his readiness to make significant contributions to the scientific community.
About the Program
The Lynnwood Rotary Club’s CTE Student of the Month program honors students excelling in Career and Technical Education Pathways. These programs prepare students to be college and career ready, offering opportunities to earn college credit, explore career interests, and meet graduation requirements in areas such as Art, English, Health, Math, and Science.
