Mukilteo to hold Public Hearing on Airport Compatibility Code March 3rd

MUKILTEO-The Mukilteo City Council will hold a public hearing on March 3, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, 11930 Cyrus Way to consider adoption of a new Title 17.86 – Airport Compatibility Code.

The public hearing will be held in person and can be viewed virtually on Facebook and Zoom for those who wish to attend remotely.

As a condition of approval of the Phase I Annexation Interlocal Agreement between Mukilteo and Snohomish County, the county required that the city adopt airport compatibility regulations which are comparable to those enforced by the county.

City and County staff drafted the proposed code language and both sides agree that the regulations meet this requirement. The goal of the code change is that the same compatibility requirements will continue to apply after annexation.
