“With all our community is experiencing right now, it was important to present music that feels familiar and comforting,” said Damien Hall, Executive Director of Rainbow City. “You’ll definitely recognize some of these tunes, but you’ll also hear something new and exciting to inspire you.” In their second year performing at Benaroya hall, Rainbow City continues to welcome new audiences to the magnificent Taper Auditorium. Damien continued, “After every performance we hear from folks who have never attended a symphonic concert before and find out how much they enjoyed our show. The sense of joy in the room is palpable!”
This performance includes over 160 community musicians who bring their passion and spirit to the stage. Rainbow City Performing Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing equity and visibility of LGBTQIA+ individuals, continues its mission of highlighting diverse voices and composers. Both Rainbow City Orchestra and Rainbow City Concert Band will unite on stage to present this dynamic program that bridges classical masterworks with contemporary film scores.
