LYNNWOOD—At Lynnwood-based RAW Aesthetics and Wellness Med Spa, Dr. Bridgette Jeffries believes that mental health begins with looking and feeling your best. That’s why she expanded her mental health practice earlier this year to offer aesthetics and wellness to clients seeking a confidence boost in conjunction with their personal journeys.
Dr. Jeffries has been practicing as a mental health professional in Lynnwood since 2019, bringing with over 30-years of medical experience. She began exploring the idea of expanding both her existing facility, and her practice, to include aesthetics in 2023. She officially opened this expansion last February.
In addition to her mental health services – which include therapy, medication, and an innovative, FDA-approved Theta chamber which stimulates the brain to develop more neurotransmitters – her newly launched aesthetics and wellness practice offers anything from IV therapy, skin treatment, supplementation, tattoo removal, Botox, laser treatment, hair removal and restoration, and dermal enhancement.
“Anything laser we can do it,” said Dr. Jeffries.
Dr. Jeffries has been a lifelong entrepreneur, starting her own home health company in Louisianna, where’s she originally from, after practicing nursing at a major health center. In addition to launching her own practice she briefly opened her own Creole-inspired Southern comfort food restaurant before closing it down to further her education at the University of Washington, where she received her doctorate in Mental Health.
“I went [back] to school for one purpose; to be independent and to work how I wanted to work. So as soon as I graduated, I went directly into private practice,” said Dr. Jeffries. “I got the idea for a wellness center because the conversation kept coming up with some of my clients.”
Dr. Jeffries shared that the idea really hit home when she was looking into a mirror one day and realized that she was developing crow’s feet. She decided to get Botox and realized how much it helped her feel better about herself and more confident, in that moment realizing that there was a direct link between mental health and personal confidence.
“It changed my life,” said Dr. Jeffries. “I want to grow old, but I want to do so gracefully. There’s something about loving you that goes deeper than the physical aspect of it, but once you can identify what is inside of you, you can start to look at the outside.”
Each of Dr. Jeffries’ treatments are custom-tailored to her clients individual, and unique, needs. Interested parties are initially given a free consultation where they discuss their overall goals in a clinical setting and Dr. Jeffries’ team – composed of her, a master aesthetician, and a registered nurse – then customizes a specific treatment to meet these needs.
RAW Aesthetics uses innovative, state-of-the-art, technology including TMS therapy – which uses electromagnetic signals to reattach neurotransmitters to induce healthier thinking and using its Theta Chamber to uproot trauma and even treat incontinence.
This innovative treatment requires no undressing—simply sit in the chair, and it does the work for you. It operates by increasing blood flow to the pelvic area while strengthening the muscles. The Emsella Chair effectively treats various levels of incontinence, aids in postpartum vaginal muscle tightening, and enhances sexual health for both men and women.
The clinic is also one of two in Washington State which has FoLix laser hair restoration system, which is the first and only FDA-approved fractional laser specifically designed to combat hair loss.
In addition to her years of experience and education, Dr. Jeffries has spent years learning this equipment and obtaining her proper certification.
“It’s a growing industry and need to constantly seek training if you want to do your best,” said Dr. Jeffries. “I never look at being the best I always look at it as providing the best services that we can.”
RAW’s approach to wellness is exemplified the minute you walk through its doors and see the zen-inspired décor, from Himalayan rock salt lamps, to the gentle, meditative, hush of a nearby fountain. All of these design choices were intentional, Dr. Jeffries shared, so that clients feel that they can enter her space and feel instantly relaxed.

RAW accepts most insurance policies for its mental health services but most aesthetics-based services are out-of-pocket. However, Dr. Jeffries recognizes the current economic climate and has committed herself to offering aesthetics and wellness to anyone and everyone. She does this by offering monthly discounts and is currently working on establishing her own non-profit that would offer low-cost wellness services to low-income clientele.
“There are so many people that need this but can’t afford it, and that’s devastating to me,” said Dr. Jeffries. “So I decided to start a non-profit so I could partner with schools and held adolescents who were struggling, anyone who could not afford it.”
Dr. Jeffries decision to offer this non-profit also stemmed from witnessing many of her clients struggling with addiction overcome their afflictions through her treatment, yet many people struggling with addiction often do not have the resources to pursue services like RAW’s.
Dr. Jeffries non-profit, called Healthy Mind Stimulation, has already obtained certified 501(c)(3) status but she is waiting for the opportunity to hire more staff before focusing on getting it off the ground.
Dr. Jeffries shared that seeing her clients become healthier, happier, and more constructive members of society is “one of the most rewarding feelings” she could have possibly hoped for working in the medical field.
“I love people, I love helping, I love giving back. It’s such a joy to see people happy because when you’re happy you’re going to do good,” said Dr. Jeffries. “When you’re happy you’re going to do good things.”
