Lake Stevens City Councilman Gary Petershagen launches re-election campaign

AKE STEVENS—This morning, April 2, Councilmember Gary Petershagen announced his campaign to seek re-election to the Lake Stevens City Council. Gary joined the City Council in 2016 and has been successfully elected by voters to serve two terms. He is now seeking a third term.

Gary is a lifelong resident of Snohomish County and he and his wife, Jeanne, have lived in Lake Stevens since 1995. They recently celebrated 30 years of marriage and have two grown children, both of whom graduated from the Lake Stevens School District. Before joining the City Council, Gary served as a Lake Stevens Planning Commission. He and his wife are active members of the community and have supported the Lake Stevens Food Bank, Lake Stevens Boys & Girls Club, and the Lake Stevens Education Foundation among other non-profit organizations.

Gary is a voice for reasonable and pragmatic solutions on the Lake Stevens City Council. He has supported and been a vocal advocate for law enforcement, supported improvements to recreational facilities, and continued to support improvements to roads and pedestrian facilities. Gary will continue to prioritize these critical issues if re-elected to serve a third term.
