EVERETT—Interstate All Battery Center® of Everett will host its 7th Annual Earth Day Recycling Event on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. After welcoming more than 2,400 cars last year, the free event helped members of the community recycle over 162,000 pounds of hard-to-dispose of items from scrap metal and batteries to paint and electronics, and will once again help local residents “unload” this year.

“Getting rid of these kinds of items is hard in and of itself,” said April Marty, commercial sales manager of Interstate All Battery Center of Everett. “We are proud that our Earth Day tradition is to help people get rid of things they don’t want anymore, and to help them do it in a way that keeps hundreds of thousands of pounds of discarded materials from going into our landfills, or being left on our streets or in our alleyways.”

Members of the public are encouraged to sign-up for this year’s drop-off, which only requires they drive through as Interstate All Battery Center unloads their clutter and makes a massive difference for the planet. Recycling services provided include paint, batteries, Styrofoam, ink & toner, scrap metal, electronics, medical devices, food & toiletries, and paper shredding, with full details on items accepted can be found here.
