EVERETT—The Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has issued a formal statement of support for the proposed Everett Multi-Purpose Stadium Project, citing the potential to drive economic growth, attract new business investment, and elevate the city’s visibility as a regional destination for sports and entertainment.

The Board voted unanimously to back the project, which aims to bring a modern, multi-use facility to Downtown Everett. In addition to serving as a permanent home for the Everett AquaSox Minor League Baseball team, the stadium is expected to host professional men’s and women’s United Soccer League (USL) teams, community events, concerts, and public recreational space.
“This project has the power to reenergize downtown, draw new audiences to Everett, and create meaningful economic impact for our business community,” said Wendy Poischbeg, CEO of the Greater Everett Chamber. “But visionary projects must also be rooted in fiscal responsibility. That’s why our support comes with a call for continued due diligence and transparency as planning moves forward.”

The Chamber’s statement acknowledges the importance of the City of Everett’s ongoing evaluation of funding models, operational sustainability, and long-term community benefits. It notes that responsible financial planning will be key to ensuring broad community confidence and long-term success.
The Chamber’s full statement was sent to Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin and Council President Don Schwab and reflects the organization’s role as a leading voice for business, development, and placemaking in the city.
