Disney Jr.’s “Doc McStuffins is an imaginative animated series about a six-year-old girl who communicates with and heals stuffed animals and broken toys in her backyard playhouse clinic and the magical McStuffins Toy Hospital. Created and executive-produced by Humanitas Prize and Emmy Award-winner Chris Nee, the series has been celebrated around the world for modeling healthy behaviors and teaching young viewers the value of caring for themselves and others.

“’Doc McStuffins’ is a fun and hands-on experience to help children learn how to keep themselves and others healthy,” said Elizabeth (Elee) Wood, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of Imagine Children’s Museum. “By learning through educational and interactive experiences in the exhibit, we hope that kids will see that going to the doctor is not scary, and like all the exhibits at Imagine, they might find something that interests them further to explore and discover.”

The exhibit is a highly interactive bilingual (English and Spanish) experience that brings this beloved world to life. Families are invited to step into Doc’s backyard clinic and Toy Hospital, where children can help perform check-ups and diagnose toy patients while learning about healthy habits, empathy, and nurturing care through imaginative play.

Convincing children that going to the doctor isn’t scary can be a challenge, but educational and interactive experiences like this exhibit help them understand that doctors and healthcare providers are there to keep people healthy. By showing positive habits such as handwashing, staying active, and making healthy food choices, the exhibit gently introduces children to medical environments in a way that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.

The Exhibit was produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and Disney Jr. and presented by Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is a nonprofit institution committed to creating extraordinary family learning experiences across the arts, sciences, and humanities that have the power to transform the lives of children and families.

This marks the first time Imagine Children’s Museum has hosted a nationally touring exhibit. Its arrival reflects the Museum’s growing regional presence and ongoing commitment to bringing high-quality, engaging, and meaningful experiences to children and families in the Western Washington and beyond.
