Lynnwood calls on businesses to participate in 2026 FIFA World Cup survey

LYNNWOOD—The city of Lynnwood is conducting a survey to understand how businesses in Lynnwood are preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and to gather feedback on potential opportunities related to this global event.

“We see this as a big opportunity for our city and local businesses to be prepared and make the most of an event like this,” said Simreet Dhaliwal Gill, Development and Business Services Program Manager for the City of Lynnwood.

Six of the FIFA World Cup games will be in the Seattle area from June 15 – July 6, 2026. Organizers estimate that over 750,000 people will visit the region over the course of the tournament.

The Small Business Survey is just one way the City of Lynnwood is exploring exciting ways how it can be part of the action, whether it’s hosting watch parties, welcoming international visitors, or showcasing local talent and culture.

Input received from the survey will gauge interest in small businesses’ participation in partnering in any World Cup-related events or initiatives. Input from the survey will help the city plan potential events and opportunities that benefit the community and highlight everything Lynnwood has to offer.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup match schedule is as follows:

Match 16 | Group Stage | Monday, 15 June

Match 32 | Group Stage (USA game two) | Friday, 19 June

Match 52 | Group Stage | Wednesday, 24 June

Match 63 | Group Stage | Friday, 26 June

Match 82 | Round of 32 | Wednesday, 1 July

Match 94 | Round of 16 | Monday, 6 July

Responses to this survey will help inform initiatives, resources, and strategies to maximize community engagement and support during the tournament. All responses will remain confidential.
