MUKILTEO—The City of Mukilteo is now accepting applications for three grant programs to support community events, services, and tourism in 2026. Each grant has unique eligibility criteria. All applications must be submitted online by their respective September deadlines.

1. Community Support Grants

The Community Support Grant program will award up to $30,000 in total funding for projects that enhance the general well-being of Mukilteo residents. Eligible applicants include but are not limited to registered non-profit agencies, volunteer groups, neighborhood groups, educational organizations, public agencies, and the Chamber of Commerce. Most applicants must be based in Mukilteo or demonstrate significant benefit to the community.
2. Co-Sponsorship Facility Use Grants

This in-kind grant offers waived rental fees for use of City-owned facilities to support public events in Mukilteo. While it does not provide direct monetary support, it helps reduce costs for eligible groups hosting recreational, cultural, or educational events that promote local vitality and economic development.
Applicants must be public or private organizations capable of carrying out a community-based event or program by December 31, 2026. Events held in City parks that include a Beer or Wine Garden must obtain Co-Sponsorship status to meet permitting requirements.
3. Lodging Tax Grants

The Lodging Tax Grant program provides funding to non-profit organizations, destination marketing groups, and government agencies for projects that increase tourism and overnight stays in Mukilteo. Eligible uses of lodging tax funds include:
- Tourism marketing
- Marketing and operations of special events or festivals
- Operations of tourism-related facilities owned by nonprofits
- Capital expenditures or operations of tourism-related facilities owned by municipalities or public facilities districts
Grant funding is competitive and limited. Applicants must ensure their project aligns with state lodging tax regulations.
