Snohomish County seeking applicants for Affordable Housing & Emergency Bridge and Shelter Housing Projects

Snohomish County is encouraging nonprofit organizations, for-profit developers, and government agencies to submit applications for homebuyer downpayment assistance and homeownership development as well as applications to develop affordable rental housing, emergency bridge or shelter housing, and sweat equity projects.  

Housing Supply

All potential applicants are strongly encouraged to immediately review the Application Review Policy regarding communication with any party about any potential application for funding. 

An estimated $1,054,917 in federal funds under the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) may be available for the 2026 program year and Affordable Housing and Behavioral Health Capital Funds (AHBH) will be available in an amount to be determined. Projects must benefit low-income persons in Snohomish County.  

Interested applicants are required to attend one of two Virtual Information Sessions to be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The first hour of each session will cover HOME funds and the second hour will cover AHBH funds.  Information on how to access the information sessions are in the NOFO application materials at: NOFO Application Materials  

Applications must be completed and returned to the Snohomish County Human Services Department by 4 p.m. on September 15, 2025.
