Snohomish County Fire District #4 responded to multiple 911 reports of a motorcycle crash on the off-ramp to SR 9 from SR 2 eastbound around 8:57 p.m., August 30, 2025.

Witnesses at the scene reported that they did not witness the motorcycle leave the roadway. The first medic unit and fire engine arrived six minutes after the initial dispatch.

Rescuers performed CPR on the scene for 15 minutes but were unable to revive the male victim.

Authorities state the cause to be “wheels off roadway.” The motorcylce was travelling eastbound on US 2, left the roadway to the right, then lost control and came to rest in a grassy gore point. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.

A USDOT Helmet was worn. No drugs nor alcohol was suspected to have contributed to the incident.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death, as well as the decedent’s identity.

  1. He exited the left side of the off-ramp, not the right. Also took closer to 15 minutes for help to arrive. He was not dead on scene either. I maintained a pulse of 50-60 bpm with his labored breathing until medics arrived and took over.

    1. Bruce, this was my wife’s uncle. Her dad has so many questions I wonder if somehow I’d be able to put you two in contact.

    2. Hello Bruce,
The rider is my uncle. Thank you for leaving a message here. My mom’s extremely heartbroken and I’ve been trying to find answers for her. I just went on a major ride with him 3 weeks ago and I’m devastated. Hard looking at the bike I just road in the paper. Please contact me when convenient. Thank you
