Marysville man arrested for DUI, knife brandishing at Arlington school vent

ARLINGTON—On September 4, 2025, at around 5:57 p.m., Arlington Police arrested a 31-year-old Marysville, Washington man after a disturbance at Eagle Creek Elementary School. He faces charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI), reckless endangerment, and brandishing a knife.

Police responded to reports of a man driving erratically on the grass near the fence of Eagle Creek Elementary School at 1216 E. 5th Street, Arlington, during an event with attendees present. Witnesses reported the driver’s reckless behavior, which sparked an argument with bystanders.

Officers detained the driver, who showed signs of impairment. After investigating and interviewing witnesses, police arrested the suspect, who was booked into Snohomish County Jail on charges of DUI, reckless endangerment, and brandishing a weapon.

The Arlington Police School Resource Officer is collaborating with Arlington School District officials to implement safety measures related to this incident. The Arlington Police Department remains dedicated to ensuring community safety and addressing public safety threats.
