Candy Thieves in Ford F-150 Strike Pedestrian in Snohomish County

EVERETT, Wash.  – On Friday, October 31 at approximately 9:50 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian hit-and-run collision in the 11300 block of 58th Ave SE in Everett. The victim, a 47-year-old man, was struck by a Ford F-150. The suspect vehicle immediately fled the scene.

Witnesses reported that the suspect vehicle was driving through a residential neighborhood, stopping at houses, and stealing bowls of candy left out on porches. Multiple masked passengers were seen exiting the vehicle, taking the candy bowls, and then returning to the truck.

The victim stepped into the roadway and the Ford F-150 initially nudged him before accelerating and driving over the victim. The 47-year-old victim had serious injuries and was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center.

A second adult who was near the victim grabbed onto the bed of the suspect truck as it accelerated and was dragged a short distance down the roadway, suffering minor injuries.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark red Ford-150, 4-door, in the year 2015 or newer. Detectives do not believe there would be any obvious damage to the truck.

Anyone who can identify the suspect vehicle or who has information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 425-388-3845. This remains an active investigation.
