GRANITE FALLS—A 73-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on a rural road in Snohomish County, authorities said.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 2:31 p.m. to the 15600 block of Green Mountain Road after reports of a vehicle that had left the roadway and landed in a ditch.
Upon arrival, deputies found the driver deceased. No other vehicles or individuals were involved, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s Collision Investigation Unit took over the probe and found no signs of additional factors beyond the solo incident. While the investigation continues, detectives believe a medical event may have contributed to the crash.
