SAFETY TIPS

It’s never safe to approach a power line that is on the ground! Approaching fallen power lines can be fatal. Electricity always wants to go to the ground and can reach you through the ground if you get close enough to a fallen live power line. Stay at least 30 feet away.

DO NOT place a portable generator inside your home or garage when you are running it. Using a portable generator INDOORS (even with windows and doors open) can kill you in minutes because exhaust from the portable generator contains high concentrations of carbon monoxide (a poison that cannot be seen and has no odor).

Report downed lines in Snohomish County to 425-783-1001.
