EVERETT—Snohomish County residents impacted by December 2025 flooding can continue to dispose of flood-damaged household items with waived disposal fees at county solid waste facilities through its flood voucher program through March 19, 2026. The program had previously been authorized through Jan. 18, 2026.

The voucher program is authorized under county code during a state of emergency when safe and rapid removal of garbage would help maintain public health and safety. The voucher program applies to Snohomish County households directly impacted by the December 2025 flooding. The program does not apply to businesses.
Residents do not have to present formal documentation or proof of damage to receive a voucher. Addresses will be recorded at the time of voucher redemption to support post-event reporting and evaluation. Customers may bring multiple loads but must have one voucher per load. Lists of acceptable flood-damaged household materials and other restrictions and drop-off locations are printed on the voucher.
Residents are encouraged to call their waste haulers if they have suffered substantial damage and need large drop-off containers. A separate voucher is required for each load taken for disposal. If coordinating with waste haulers for larger container disposal, please note that the voucher only eliminates the solid waste tip fee, not the cost of providing and hauling the box, and that the box must contain only flood-damaged materials eligible for the program.
